Welcome to Farmers Academy! We are here to advance food safety and nutrition security by bridging the divides along technology, information and market domains. We build awareness among consumers and other stakeholders AND help improve the capacity of farmers, value chain actors and the organizations that they belong to. Farmers Academy shapes the pathway for inclusive growth through knowledge-driven agro-entrepreneurial excellence.

Our Mission is

Our Vision is
......“to provide success-critical technical assistance to one million farmers and agro-entrepreneurs by 2021 with frontier technologies, demand-driven information, sustainable market linkages and innovative business advisory services in Bangladesh, and beyond"

Our Goals are to:
  • Build our members’ capacity in farming technologies, post-harvest management, processing, storage and marketing practices
  • Help members and partners establish market linkages for input, output and by-products
  • Provide agribusiness management supports and incubation assistance to agro-MSMEs and start-ups
  • Partner with public, private and development organizations to craft and implement innovative and pragmatic initiatives to bridge technology, information and market divides

People, Partners & Patrons

People at Farmers Academy are self-inspired: their long-cherished passion brought them together to build synergy between farmer and consumer behavior in order to advance food and nutrition security for all. They are accomplished professionals with primary affiliation with academia, media and the private sector.

People at Farmers Academy have been working in the domain of agriculture and agribusiness for quite long in different capacities from different perspectives – ranging from research and development to technology dissemination to value chain study to consumer behavior research to capacity building to intervention design and execution to impact assessment.

People at Farmers Academy walked all along the value chains and worked very closely with farmers, value chain actors, grass-root market organizations, central market players, institutional buyers and sellers, policy makers, researchers, academicians, extension professionals, NGOs, MFIs, agribusinesses, apex public sector agencies and media, among others.

Farmers, value chain actors, agro-MSMEs, trainers and facilitators, incubation and extension professionals are our extended family members.
