Below are a few snapshots:

Mr. Emnamul Haque, a fish trader at Barobazar, Jessore who upon receiving advises from CDCS not only modernized his post harvest practices and raised his income but also became an advocate of the same Good Post-harvest Practices (GPP7) among other farmers and traders. Mr. Enamul on his very first trial experienced 17% increase in income and from there never stopped following the easy profitable steps that CDCS promoted to minimize post harvest loss in fish.

Same is true for M. Raihan Ali, Jessore. As he saying -"I used to take all my produce (egg plant) to market without any kind of grading. In fact, I was not aware of any grading system. Even when I came to know about the system, I had doubts about the overall financial benefit that it may bring to me. My belief was that I'd incur loss as nobody will buy the second or third grade. But to my surprise, I found that the price that I get from selling Grade A produce is much higher. Although I sell Grade B at lower price, the overall revenue is around 15% higher. As for Grade C, I sell it locally or give away to the poor. Any leftover that I may have, my cattle get a feast. ... Simple and easy to adopt training on CDCS® Good Post-harvest Practices (GPP-7) helped me a lot. Thank you CDCS®. I look forward to having more such training."

Likewise, CDCS training programs are admired by many change agents including Mr. Dollar from Rajshahi/ Chapainowabganj (Mango trader cum farmer), Mr. Majedur Rahman Monju from Rajshahi/ Baneshwar (Fruit trader cum farmer), Mr. Rezaul from Hoibotpur, Jessore (Vegetable trader), Mr. Adam Ali from Godkhali, Jessore (Flower farmer cum trader).

CDCS introduced Grading Handbook on selected agro commodities is being used by many at the grassroots and can be made available to many more who might be needing the same.

Farmers, agro entrepreneurs and CDCS change agents feel that if they could get further support linked to their profession (farming and agro-trading), they could do better, earn more and enjoy higher status in the society as more informed and connected individuals.

CDCS Farmers Academy aims to stand by all such farmers and/or agro-entrepreneurs in order to facilitate and contribute to the lives of millions at the base of the pyramid and beyond.
